constant boil in the eyes

my husband has been having constant boil in the eye at least on a monthly basis. He recently had eye treatment. could this boil be as a result of the drugs he took or another thing. i am worried.

Thank you very much for your prompt response.  What I mean is that he has boil at the upper eyelid.  Yes it is reddish.  The previous ones use to go on  their own even without releasing purse.  But the immediate one is bigger and has started bringing out purse.  

Yes he had blurred or dim vision at the left eye. the drugs are prednisolone tablet, ranitidine tablets and dexamethasone eye drop for the period of about three months.  but he has since stopped using these drugs since april.

Hello, I'm an optometrist. I'm afraid I'd need a lot more information to have any idea of what you're on about.

What do you mean by "boil"? I assume they are recurrent? Are they painful/red/itchy/mucousy and do they go away on their own? Does he wear contact lenses? What sort of "eye treatment" are you talking about? And what drugs is he on?
