im just not sure...

So i couldn't figure out where else to post this so here goes. Ive been having a wierd tugging pain in my navel every time i moved too quickly or twisted any at all the past week or so. The other day i was just sitting down messing around on my computer and i felt this pop in my belly button accompanied by a terrible smell and pinkinsh red discharge, but when i tried to see what it was i couldnt see anything but fluid. The next day i woke up and there was a ring of greenish crusty stuff around my belly button and a chunk of green stuff i pulled out with a little pain, it was the size of a pee. The odor was still there, so i tried to clean it out and tried to stretch my belly button out to see if i could se anything odd, and in the top of my navel there is a pee sized oval shaped raised piece of flesh that is roughly the color of dark watermelon, but it looks rather solid not like a blister or anything and i cant get a good feel of it. Last night i took a shower and cleaned it out as best i could(very painful) and then literally filled it with neosporin and covered it in gauze overnight, Now the odor is gone but there is a greenish clearish fluid coming out and the bump is still there.... What is going on??? I was reading about belly button problems and at first it sounded like a yeast infection but it doesnt explain the bump plus there is no odor sooo idk...

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? Try to avoid manipulating the area to prevent secondary infection. Always keep the area clean and dry. Pain and discharge suggests infection. Antibiotic treatment may be indicated. A culture may also be done to determine the organism present. If it still persists have this evaluated further by your doctor for proper management. Take care and do keep us posted.
