Hi,
Thanks for the update. Masking the crackling noise may also help you prevent irritation. Sound of a ticking clock or any music may mask the sound. This is usually done with tinnitus, or sound heard in the ear. Do keep us posted with your ENT consultation. Take care and do keep us posted.
Hi Rowena
Unfortunately I couldn't get an appointment for the ENT until November 30th.I'm fine otherwise.I'm finding the crackling noise more irritating than anything else.I'll let you know how I get on in a couple of weeks.Hope you are well and take care.
Hi,
Thanks for the update. How are you? Were you able to see your ENT? It is good that the neck x-ray and the blood tests were all fine. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
Hi
Thank you for your comments.I had a neck x-ray and blood test done last week and both showed nothing untoward. My doctor has suggested that I could have fluid trapped in my inner ear due to repeated sinus infections so it looks like a visit to an ENT is next.Hopefully a solution is in sight.
Hi,
How are you? It is good that the MRI test was clear. Chronic sinusitis may not be the cause but may be associated with degenerative conditions such as arthritis. Further evaluation such as blood tests or x-ray may help find the underlying cause. Physical therapy and anti-inflammatory medications may also help. Take care and do keep us posted.
