My husband had the same problem. His started out as a small rash under his eye, and spread in a formation along his cheek bone. It's really nothing to panic over. Dr said that lots of stress can bring this up. Which is why on my husband it came up on his cheek bone, theres a nerve that runs along there. They gave him some antiviral pills and he was good. It never got as far as the bumps and stuff, but you do need to be careful of touching it, because it acts just like poison ivy would, it the blisters pop, it spreads. Also, my husband got better and then worse, better, worse, for about a month or so, and until he got the anti viral pills. Good luck.
Hi,
How are you? The virus responsible for chickenpox remains inactive in certain nerves in the body and this can lead to shingles later. The reason the virus suddenly become active again is not clear but may occur if the immune system is weakened by medications or disease. Shingles usually present with pain, tingling, or burning sensation and rash located in one dermatome, followed by small blisters that break, forming small ulcers that begin to dry and form crusts. The crusts fall off in 2 to 3 weeks. It is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Direct clinical examination is important. Take care and do keep us posted.
