MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

How is your husband? I hope he is fine. Virus infection usually resolves after a few days. It is usually managed with symptomatic treatment like fever medication and pain medication for his body aches. Rest and drinking plenty of fluids also help. It may also help to take vitamin C supplements to strengthen your immune system.

Take care and do keep us posted.

viruses cannot be treated with a medicine. doctors can only treat the symptoms. sounds like he has the flu to me. just make sure he is drinking plenty of fluids. dehydration is not a road he wants to go down. i would also recomend tylenol for the fever adn body aches. the phenergan is a medicine that will help with nausea and vomiting, but it wont make him not be sick anymore. just make sure you dont drink after him or kiss him until he has not had a fever for 24 hours without taking medicine and disinfect the pillowcases and sheets you use and spray lysol on any doorknobs, the phone, etc so you dont get sick too. hope this helps and i hope he gets to feeling better!!~
