heart area buzzing

I have been experiencing a buzzing/vibrating in my heart area for 3 days now. It is similar to my cell phone vibrating which I wear on a lanyard around my neck and hangs right above my heart and I mistook it for that vibrate. My heart rate continues normally. The vibrating starts suddenly and continues on and off similar to the phone. I place my hand over my heart but feel nothing but normal heartbeat. Does anyone know or has heard of this happening?

This discussion is related to Vibration/Buzzing.

Yes! I also had some sort of a corse senstation in the region of my Heart are. I would nootice this after i was riding my Bike for a while andd when i stopped could feel a similar sensation to what is described. I left it for a year. It got worst. I left iit for some more months. I was experiencing some sizzy spells and on two occasions accompanied with bouts of weakness where i needed to sit down.
I asked my Doc to get a stress test done by a Cardiologist. Just as well i did ask for it. It turned out to be a blocked left ventrical artery of 70% blockage.
Ened up having a tripple bypass. Not pleasant but it saved my life. I am back to my usual activities and i am still improving. My fitness level is not bad either.
Do yourself a favour and have one done too. May be the best investment you ever made if not the only one.

I have had a buzzing or vibrating feeling in my chest on and off for years and lately it is driving me to distraction.  It starts just as I am drifting off at night and keeps me from getting to sleep. My pulse and BP are normal at the time, but of course having just survived a sudden cardiac arrest earlier this year, it causes me great anxiety.  My cardiologist and electrophysiologist have done all the tests (EKG, holter monitor, event monitor, stress echo) and say it is not a cardiac problem even though it feels like my heart is vibrating or fluttering.  I mentioned it to my primary care doctor and the first thing she said was "Oh, that's your asthma".  Then another doctor said it could also be anxiety.  None of them, however, are terribly concerned.  I think you should mention it to your doctor and maybe go to a cardiologist if only to rule out a heart problem.

I dont think that this relates to a respiratory problem but I am not a doctor. It may be extremely beneficial to get this evaluated by a cardiologist. They will most likely perform stress tests, echocardiogram, and possibly a holter monitor for 24 hours to find any abnormal rythmns.
