What are the benefits of Mitomycin C on stenosis of the lower right lobe?

My wife aspirated on an iron supplement and unfortunately didn't immediately receive treatment.  She has been under the care of a Pulmonoligist and Cardiothoracic surgeon since Feb 5th, 2017. She has had two rigid bronchoscopies to remove remaining pill fragments embeded in her lung tissue.  In addition, during the procedures, the CT surgeon has inserted a ballon to open the airway, then used laser treatment to remove tissue in hopes of re-opening her airway. She received nominal relief from procedures, but now her CT surgeon is recomending the use of mitomycin c as a means of possibly helping to get the stenosis under control because he indicated there is only a limited amount of tissue remaining in her lung that he can remove. Does anyone have experience or results from the application of mitomycan c in a case like this?
