Lung opacities could indicate infections or inflammations and sometimes tumors. An apicolordotic view outlines better the apical segments of the lung. This helps to rule out a tuberculous infection, as this commonly affects the apical portion of the lungs. The findings are again correlated with clinical symptoms and blood tests to make a diagnosis of tuberculosis. As you had gone for a medical check, tuberculosis needs to be ruled out.
