tell me my worst fears aren't realised

I seem to have a permanent plug of phlegm/mucus at the back of my throat that I cannot cough up. When I swallow I can feel it.  Should I be worried?

I have the very same symptoms, they drive me crazy!  I do drink lots of water, and I just took a mucinex, hope it helps. Maybe we have a food allergy they talk about which is triggering this.

It may not be the worst and could be something quite benign - like just irritation from snoring, swallowing repeatedly, or even a small infection.  But....it is worrying you enough that you should get it checked by a doctor - even if only for your own peace of mind.

Drink a lot of water to soften it up.  Try mucinex.  Eventually, you will cough it up.  Linda
