Gonorrhea of the throat

I've read gonorrhea can infect the throat fi aquired orally. It might sound stupid if the answer is 'no', but can such an infection be cleared by drinking lots of cranberry juice? Because apparently cranberry juice flushes out bacteria in your digestive tract and obviously, it passes through your throat. Or would you still need to get the proper antibiotics?

Cranberry juice does help with UTIs.  But I don't know how the body metabolizes it.  Theoretically it may help in a very limited fashion.  At least you are getting some vitamin C.

There is no substitute, though, for antibiotics.  STDs are not something to try and cure outside of a doctor's care with household items.

And no the question is not dumb in any way.

For example garlic contains some of the same properties as some antibiotics.  So garlic helps heal the body but not in a powerful enough dose to kill the germs.

I have never heard of that being a remedy. But I have heard that oral gonorrhea often clears on it's own. But no guarantee of that. Oral gonorrhea is not all that common.
