STDs from anal rimming?

Hi there. About two weeks ago, I had anal sex with another man. Before he inserted his penis (with a condom) into me, he rimmed my ***. Two days later, I had a rash develop located about an inch and a half above my anus.

Two weeks later, the rash hasn't disappeared (still red) and it still itches from time to time. But I also think (positive thinking here, as I'm a bit of a hypochondriac and don't want to induce stress and anxiety attacks) it hasn't healed because I have been scratching it a bit when it itches, and also because that's the area I wipe after defecating (bacteria from fecal matter doesn't help any rash/infection). And its origin might have to do with the bacteria in his saliva or friction from anal sex?

Can anyone let me know what might be going on? Much appreciation, thanks.

Yah when something like this happens on your peri anal area, it gets complicated to keep clean for obvious reasons.

Also don't forget to Ask your physician about anti-bacterial ointment too.

Shower well, and scrub lightly down there.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I won't be able to go to the clinic until Wednesday...busy today and tomorrow.

The last time I checked, I was clean. Also, I applied polysporin to the area yesterday, and it seems to have healed since yesterday. It's no longer itchy either, nor is it red.

you need to be seen and get this looked at monday.  it's most likely a fungal infection or even irritation but you need a proper exam to know.

have you ever been tested for herpes before all of this to know your status?
