Molluscum contagiosum.

Hello, I have been diagnosed with Molluscum contagiosum 1 week ago, also the doctor found fungal infection in my pubic area. I am treated with pills and a cream which I apply on the rash. The Doc said after the Fungal infection is gone he will currete the Molluscum and I will be fine. The molluscum is found on the base of my penis (sides) and directly on it, which he said is sexually transmitted for sure.

1. I want to ask if it's STD and my only sexual partners are my girlfriend which was untouched let's say before we met, how come I've got Molluscum? For 1 year and a half I haven't switched partners nor she. This worries me a lot, I have to add my Immune system is not high since I've been a lot of stress these few months e.g. My gf had a ovarian cyst surgery (7cm long)... long story...
2. I wonder could she acquire the fungal infection or the molluscum somehow when she was in hospital... also I shared towels with her on few occasion past 1-2 months.
3. How we can contract an STD between us if no one had sex out of our relationship for 1 year and molluscum appear ON 15th of February just 1 day past St. Valentines.... romantic worries....

Help is much appreciated!! I would love to inform myself in order to relief this built up stress around that simple but annoying STD... Thank you! ! !

Well the MC had to come from someone. I hate to say it but my guess would be someone went outside the relationship. Not guaranteed but from you having MC on your penis, her getting "edgy" when you speak to her about it...doesn't sound right.

Yes she was. And she will visit the doctor today, I hope. She keeps telling me she never had any other sexual relationships... And she gets edgy when we discuss that problem... I don't know what to think, especially before she go to the doctor...

Was she a virgin before you? MC in that area is normally sexually transmitted. Does gf have any bumps?

Bump. Just realized question 1 and 3 are almost the same... it really bothers my mind. We've been sexually active for 1 year just to add because I've said how long our relationship was. Never mind. Thanks again!
