Of course, when different tests are offered for different parts of the body, they are meant to be used for the designated area. I strongly discourage people from testing on their own at home. I recommend you to go to your doctor and do it there. Any gonorrhea test will be accurate 3 weeks after the exposure.
I agree. It's unlikely that you'd have oral gonorrhea for so long without it getting worse, but something is happening - maybe allergies, maybe something else - but it's time for a doctor to check it out.
The oral and genital gonorrhea aren't different strains, but the tests are run differently. If you don't have insurance, and cost is a concern, call your local health department and ask about free or low cost clinics.
I booked an appointment with a GYN. I've been to many doctors. The ENT said I have LPR but the redness freaks me out. I actually got orally swabbed at my GYN in August of 2018 when I got a pap smear, but somehow I wonder if they only tested the vaginal swab.
