I'm a male and lately I've had several male partners, mainly just one time things. Each of them always insisted that they were disease free and HIV negative. I would assume by saying that, they had been tested and everything was ok.
A week or so ago I had a sore on the side of my tongue, looked like a canker sore. I've gotten them before on my tongue and inside of my lips. It went away and then a larger one formed on the back of the roof of my mouth and within a few days I had red spots or blotches all over the roof of my mouth. At the same time the underside of my tongue became sore (no visible sores, but the salivary glands seemed red). Also the floor of my mouth under my tongue seemed to hurt and was slightly swollen (at least felt like it). There was no pain in my lymphnodes, although the ones under my jaw seemed like they might be slightly swollen. This seemed to last about 4-5 days and today things seem better. Most of the red spots are gone, but now it looks like I have a new canker farther back in my mouth. All of this is basically on my left side.
Today I noticed a very thin white patch on my gums on the upper right between the gum and cheek. It was only on the gum, maybe tooth also and scraped off easily. And I do have a small canker again on the tip of my tongue (I again assume that this one is a canker, it's just a raised white spot, almost like a taste bud or something that hurts quite a bit.) My tongue does have a white color to it, but it doesn't come off, I can't scrape or brush it off.
I had been tested in February and my sexual activity that I referred to has been since then. The sexual activity included giving anal sex with a condom, unprotected oral sex (give and receive), and unprotected analingus (give).
So is this just a coincidence that this popped up now, or could it be a result of my sexual behavior? I'm an anxious person, so of course this is driving me crazy. I have an appointment with my primary in a couple of days (the soonest I could get in) to have him look at my mouth and see what he thinks is the cause and to be tested.
Should I be worried? I don't think it's HIV, but my anxiety tells me it's a possibility because of the canker sores, so I will have an HIV test done. Any other tests I should be concerned about?
