Will this work on HSV2?

I use a product called Dragon's Blood (Hello-Rainforest brand) on my cold sores.
I get it from the health food store.  It seems to stop them at whatever stage they are in within 24 hours.

Does anyone know how efficive it is is on HPV warts?

Did you mean to say HSV2 is causing your cold sores? Most cold sores are caused by hsv1, not hsv2, which is almost always a genital infection.

If you have hsv2 genitally, definitely research this product with someone very knowledgeable before putting it on your genitals. If it's on your mouth, that's safer to just give it a try.

I don't, but a company called Herb Pharm makes a tincture of it and they are one of the best herbal products companies around.  You can telephone them and ask.  You can also just google it and see what comes up.  Although this product has some anti-viral properties, that isn't its historical use, and I don't know it to be a main treatment for cold sores herpes virus.  Usually that's lysine or lemon balm (melissa), but if this works for you, that's great.  You can try it and see, it doesn't appear to have much in the way of known side effects, but again, when in doubt, talk to someone who knows about it, and Herb Pharm would be a good place to start.

Herb pharm is in the USA.  There are two Dragons blood in my health food store.  1 is not good at all and the Hello Rainforest is good.  It films more where the other product DB4U is diluted or something.  I do use it on HSV1 here and it does works 100% for sure.  (Cold sores only for myself).  I'd test your brand but its not available here.

Most things like this have zero documentation that they work. They are sold in health food stores by people who aren't really trained to give medical advice.  It probably won't hurt to put it on your cold sore to see if it helped, but they sell over the counter medication that is proven to help through medical studies. I'm not sure why you wouldn't just go with that.  and you say hsv2 in your heading of your post (which is genital herpes).  I would treat with medically studied prescription medicine if you are diagnosed with Hsv2.  Either when you feel an outbreak coming or suppression therapy to prevent outbreaks.

Warts are also not well documented with this product.  talk to your doctor is my best advice.

Just debating sending it to my friend who has HPV thats an issue because its antiviral but i know hpv is a different kind of virus.  Wondering if anyone tried.  Because this is the only thing that has any real effect on cold sores HSV1 for me.

I mixed the topic up.  The following comment is recommending herb pharm but that product isn't available as easily in Canada and I get the Hello Rainforest product available in my health store.  I know the one I am getting works on HSV well unlike some other brand the local store sells that doesn't seem to appear as strong.   There no point on trying to get a different product for what works.  I am looking to see if anyone tested it on HPV.
I haven't heard of any one trying it, but I would imagine your friend would get much faster results with getting the warts treated by a doctor. I understand some people strongly prefer using alternative treatments, but I can't find much that supports using this on warts. It seems to work better on sores or lesions.

The few things I found were people that were trying it on HPV and not sure if it was working after a period of time.
