results?

I had a single oral sex encounter. I was the recipient. I did not perform oral sex on him and we did not have intercourse. I was tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea 4 days after possible exposure and the results were negative. About a week and a half later, I started experiencing irritation when I pee. There was no foul odor discharge only a burning/tingling sensation. I was tested again, this time via urine sample .I urinated like an hour and a half before test, then I urinated for the test, and they said this would not have altered the results? Anyhow, those results were negative as well. By now, the symptoms were still present and I was experiencing swelling in my urethra and vagina. I went to the minute clinic and was given sulfamethoxaole twice a day for the days. The symptoms cleared up although I still had swelling. I then went to my doctor for yet another test (3 weeks post possible exposure and 48 hours after finishing meds for possible uti) and those results were too negative. My question is, would the sulfamethoxaole have altered my results and do I need to be tested yet again?

also there are some viruses that can cause symptoms like this too. we don't test for them and basically they just have to run their course.

odds are this isn't a std then.

should symptoms return, be seen again for further work up.

have you ever been tested for herpes before this? has the partner in question?

did they ever look at your cervix when you were seen at all?

did they test you for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally when you were seen?

most adults who have hsv1, never get obvious cold sores to know that they have hsv1 orally. you can transmit it to the genital area even when obvious symptoms aren't present.

You do not have a STD. To get a STD from having oral performed on you would be rare.
