exactly how long is "awhile now"? really, if it's been less than a year, it's completely normal. you have to be patient and wait for the virus to run it's course and continue to follow up on treatments for new symptoms.
correct, some old research on cimetidine. it was helpful for about 30% of folks when taken 5x/day for several months if I'm recalling properly. it's still on the recommendations list but it's considered a last ditch effort since it's effectiveness is so low.
I've seen information regarding to studies that although Acylovir is not prescribed for Molluscum Contagiosum that people have had great results from using it and having it never come back. Another is Cimetidine, where they have had great results with it, but it is not "normaly" prescribed for it.
I was recently diagnosed with it as well. It was just two small red lumps together on my penis. When he biopsied (not my most pleasant experience) it he removed it all, but said it should still probably be treated by being frozen. I guess its a very simply procedure. I have not opted for it yet as I don't see any signs of it coming back since the biopsy. But if it does this is probably what I will do. Maybe this is what you should look into it.
it's not effective for mc so there aren't any doses to recommend.
how long have you had mc?
