Just a follow up question for the doctor-
since I posted months ago I have seen a dermo 2x. The first time just a few days after I irritated the area she indicated that it was probably nothing but that it was too irritated to confirm. The 2nd time, approx 3 weeks later after I tried hard to not touch, scratch, pick or irritate the area, it has healed or subsided considerably and she looked it over and said quite confidently that it was not an STD, just a skin irritation and it was nothing to worry about.
So, fast forward a few months now. It's still there! About 3 small skin tags, elevated bumps in the same spot. No pain or itching and I have left the area alone for a while I do tend to irritate it a lot.
My question is- should I seek a second opinion on this from another dermo or another doctor or do I just completely leave it be and accept that I will perhaps left me with a very slight scar in the area from too much irriation.
I really wouldn't give a darn much about any of this except for the fact that I am just starting a new monogamous relationship and am concerned that the girl may have concerns if she detects it. Thus far no girl has said a word but you can see it if you look for it quite easily.
Thank you very much for your guidance!
