but are they not symptoms associated with hiv?
No they are not symptoms of a STD.
i continue to feel very weak. fever appears to have gone but having sorethroat, body pains, headaches, and what appears to be blurred vision (not sure if its genuine or my mind playing games). are these symptoms linked to std or im just thinking excessively about it?
you won't get hiv from oral sex.
your sexual encounter was mostly protected which is incredibly low risk for hiv as well as the risk from a one time encounter is also incredibly low.
i did receive brief oral sex after the condom broke, is it still unlikely?
today im still feeling very weak and drowsy and slightly feverish. i have not taken any medication yet. throat is slightly better.
further, most of the articles i read online state that the first symptoms of hiv show up two weeks after exposure. so is it safe to say its too soon after this incident for symptoms to show up?
the risk of a std from a one time mostly protected encounter is very very low. we don't even recommend testing from it.
sounds like you contracted an upper respiratory infection. they are very common and transmitted through kissing as well as just breathing within 3 feet of someone as well as from touching contaminated surfaces. absolutely no reason to think a std as a cause of your symptoms.
