Bleeding during sex one week before my period

Ive been with a new partner for about 3 months. We have used protection everytime except once and the problem happened before the one time we didnt use protection. Twice this has happened where i bleed at the start of intercourse. Each time it has happened its about one week before my period. Then i spot until i get my period. Its tyically light spotting or more of a brown discharge. I dont have any pain or any other symptoms. So far when we've had sex once my period is over i dont bleed. Before i met him i had protected sex about a month before him one time. I did give someone oral sex about a month before that person and before that i was in a relationship about a year and we always had unprotected sex. Also i started getting a foul odor right after my period and its only right after my period. This has been happening about 6 months. Also about 2 years ago i had one depo shot and i bled for 6 months and it took another six months to get it regular with birth contol pill. I was told i had a tiny polyp at that point. I went to my dr and got a negative bacterial infection test. I got a pap smear and std tests. Im waiting on those but freaking out in the meantime. My instinct is its something hormonal because it only happens so far right before my period and there is no pain or foul odor with the bleeding and brown discharge but im scared. this has only happened with him and his size is average or just above and the sex is slightly rough but i feel lubricated. If i have an std could i have gotten it from him when i perform oral sex on him? If i have an std how likely is it that i got an std from giving oral sex one time to the person i was with back in May. Would the symptoms just be happening now? I have a lot of sex with this new guy and ive only bled one week before my period,twice. This has never happened before. Also if my tests come back positive for std how likely is it that i passed it on to him through oral sex or the one time we had sex without a condom which lasted a minute?

I called my dr. Office to find out when the results would be back and they had the results. I am negative for Chlamidyia and Ghonerrea! Thank goodness! Just waiting on pap smear results. Thank you for your reply!

Don't be frightened. If you have an STD, it sounds like it was caught early enough for treatment to work well, with little chance of complications or long term harm. Stay calm and work with your doctor; it will all sort out.

Ok,thank you. I am so scared. I was tested Thursdayand the wait is unbearable!

Vaginal bleeding after sex is a common STD symptom. The most common STDs that do this are chlamydia and gonorrhea; sometimes trichomonas; and sometimes HPV infections. There are other causes as well, but there's no way for a community forum to say anything more.

So wait for your test results. When you get them, discuss these same questions with your doctor then follow her advice. Your new partner may need treatment, but it's probably best to wait until your own result and you have spoken with your doctor about it.
