Can Amoxicillin cure Chlamydia?
I was recently told by an ex ( I ended the relationship) that she had been diagnosed with Chlamidya and that I should get myself checked. Because of the timing, and because I have had ex-girlfriends say this before (which lead to negative tests for myself), I am hesitant to believe her.
Coincidentally, I am taking amoxicillin 500mg 3 times daily to treat a dental infection (for 10 days). I know that I should still get tested to be safe, and I plan on doing that as soon as I have the money (dental work kinda drained my funds for now)
My question is though, can I at least have some peace of mind that if I were infected with chlamydia, the Amoxicillin would take care of the infection? As I said I know that I should still get tested, and I plan to on pay day, but I would just like some insight. I have not had intercourse for a few months now, the last person I was intimate with was the person in question.
