Can You Get HPV from Someone's Hand?

Hi there,

I am a 28 year old female who is still a virgin.  Recently, I met a wonderful man, and we started 'fooling around'.  He touched my genital area with his fingers very briefly.  That is the ONLY sexual contact I have ever had of any kind.  My question is this: if he is an HPV carrier, could he infect me with HPV?  I'm not certain how clean his hands were during this time.  Is there ANY chance that he could transmit ANY sort of STD from his hands to my genitals?  Should I go and get at pap smear, or am I just being paranoid?

Thanks!
