Chlamydia/Gonnorhea

Hi there,
I have been tested a year ago and got a positive result for chlamydia and I was too nervous, so I did not go to the doctor until 4 months later, which was last week, and got a prescription of (2 X 500) azithromycin to take care of it. My doctor had me do a urine test to make sure if I had anything else. Then a week later, I was told that my urie was tested positive for gonorrhea as well. SO I went back and picked up the medication for it, which was one 500mg ciprofloxacin tablet. It has been 3 days already and the burning sensation has decreased, bu still there and the discharge still occurs The discharge is really uncomfortable, and I just want it to be gone already.I was wondering whether or not the medicine was effective and if I should call my doctor about this. Also, is there any method for me to clean my boxers, because he discharge makes it look disgusting or should I throw them away and get new ones?

Thanks!

Thanks for the information, but the cipro did not work out and so....

I went back to the doctors and he prescribed me a does of 400mg Suprax for treatment and the burning sensation is decreasing but there is still a bit of sting here and there but not as bad, as for the discharge, there is a bit of a decrease but there is still some but is more diluted than before. I am assuming its a good sign (would love to have reinforcement on this statement). I was wondering how long will it be for all the symptoms to be cleared up?

I took the 400mg Suprax on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010.

It can take up to 2 weeks for all symptoms to stop and the decrease in the symptoms shows that the medication is working.

As for cleaning of the boxers...don't know.
