we explain in our read before posting post why sometimes telling you to be seen is the best any of us can do. our crystal balls aren't always working around here and NOTHING replaces being seen and getting a proper exam and basic testing done by a medical provider. the longer you wait, the less likely you are to get a reliable and accurate diagnosis from your doctor.
No offense, but it seems like you don't have a lot to offer and somehow you were assigned to my post and unfortunately you offer the most generalized results available.
We are on here to get non-diagnostic advice because it is readily available to us. When "go see your provider" is the best you can give me, I would honestly rather have you not even reply.
see your provider to get a proper diagnosis.
Grace, after you replied to my previous herpes post and now going back to what you wrote on here, is it possible that I developed a fungal infection on my penis? I took another dose of zithromax, so it was a total of 2 grams (1 gram on day 1 and 1 gram on day 5 or 6). I think those itchy bumps showed up the day after I took the second 1 gram dose and it was after two days of really sweaty runs.
yes, all antibiotics kill both "good" and "bad" bacteria in the body and allow for the over growth of fungus.
yes, herpes can be transmitted with condom use. your symptoms don't sound at all like herpes going on.
azithromycin can cause genital fungal infections?
I did get a urethra swab to test for chlamydia and gonorrhea at the doctor's office...who prescribed me the zithromax. I can't stand the irritation so I decided to take it without waiting for the results (which should come back tomorrow)
Why have I read that herpes can be spread even with the use of condoms then?
yes you can get a chemical urethritis from lotion in the urethra. we only recommend sex lubes, not body lotions because of that fact.
you really shouldn't have taken the azithromycin. it now will make getting any proper testing invalid for the next 2-3 weeks so if something really is going on, you won't know for sure for awhile :( it also can cause genital fungal infections which just adds to your issues.
no, this isn't herpes going on either. you never had any risk for std's at all from this.
grace
I don't know if I'm doing too much reading on STDs and such, but it seems like the urethra irritation is very prevalent for a Herpes infection. Does it make sense that the irritation would start 1 day after and last for 11 days so far?
I just took 1,000 mg of Azithromycin so I hope that helps if it's just a general infection. I don't know what I'll do if it's herpes...and I read that skin to skin contact can cause it if there was an outbreak...and I probably wouldn't have noticed it because don't females usually develop the sores on the inside?
Ok, thanks. So basically this irritation in my urethra is happening for some other reason? I'm wondering if it's the lotion that the girl used...but I just can't picture it getting into my urethra to cause a problem. I've been masturbating a lot lately too, but I don't think that would cause it.
Ugh. It's really irritating and it's making me paranoid. If a girl sits on my cow girl style and starts riding my penis without inserting it, is there a risk for herpes? I heard it can spread without insertion.
Hello
You describe a low risk overal for STDs.
You are correct, zero risk for mutual masturbation (vaginal secretions to hand then to penis), people just don't get STDs this way.
You describe a low risk encounter for STDs from the 3 some from
"switching partners"
Don't worry about the "vaginal secretion got on your pants" people don't get infections this way.
