Diagnosis Help

I was recently diagnosed with Prostatitis after a sexual encounter and have had it for about 4 months or so. (I was tested negative for gonnorhea/chlamydia, treated in case with a shot of penicillin G, 1g dose of zithromax, and two approx 3 week treatments with Doxycycline and had three urinalysis which all came back good (first one showed a small amount of blood) and a rectal exam by my doctor showed a slightly "enflamed" or enlarged prostate).

None of the treatments have worked so far. I still have testicular pain daily (it kind of is just "there" sometime and other times I can't feel it at all) and initially had a few bumps and overall felt like **** for like 3 weeks.

(Not sure if this is important but recently, I noticed that my upper back has been very itchy and there seems to be a rash that become visible after I shower but normally cannot be seen.)

My doctor said it does not appear to be an infection of any sort and wants me to give it some time.

Could this be a mis-diagnosis for another STD? What STD's could survive such treatment and cause the prostate to be slightly "enlarged"? Anyone have some good advice?

All of your tests are negative, and if you had had an std, then you would have certainly been cured with all the meds you have been on.

If your doctor says give it time, then give it time, or get a second opinion.  This is not from an std.
