Dull Penis Pain & Cough

About two weeks ago, while drunk, I was shaking off my penis after urinating, and basically "smacked" my penis fairly hard against the top of my jeans fly opening.  It was somewhat painful, and since then I have experienced a dull soreness near the tip of my penis.  It hurts when pressure is applied to the top of the shaft / lower part of the tip.  There is no discoloration or visible bruising.  It does not hurt when no pressure is applied, it is only when I apply direct pressure that I notice the mild discomfort; i.e.: drying off with a towel, putting on underwear, pressing against a surface, etc.  Again, no sharp pain, it feels like a dull bruising.  However, it has remained for almost two weeks, which seems unusual.  The pain felt like it was subsiding, but after engaging in sex on Saturday, the pain has become more pronounced Sunday and this morning.

Additionally, I have had a persistent cough for about one month.  It comes in fits.  I will be fine for several hours, then all the sudden I am violently coughing for twenty minutes.

Might these be related?  Any STD possibilities?  I am married, have had nothing but normal spousal sex.

you know you had an injury to your penis. It was just barely healed when you had sex again which probably aggravated it. no reason to think this is std related at all.

if you and your wife have been in a long term monogamous relationship, no reason for std testing either. save your money and rest the lil guy for another week or two.

What about urethritis, or herpes?

I have had cold sores on my lip.  Any chance of the herpes "migrating" to my groin, but only manifesting as a dull pain?

I scheduled an STD screening for tomorrow morning, but i'd like as much info before I go in, so I know what i should ask about, etc.

Sounds good.  If the pain persists a few more days, i'll check it out.

In general, though, is that type of feeling associated with any STDs?  Nothing but a fairly minor dull pain inside the shaft / lower tip.

Unless you or wife is having sex with someone else then it can't be STD related. See a Dr.
