gonorrhea for years

Hi. It's me again

I had a risky sex exposure about two years and a half years ago and I get tested for mostly common std, except the one that I'm worried about, the gonorrhea. I had no symptoms at all, no penis discharge, I supposed it wasn't necessary(in fact,my family doctor supposed that).

From march my wife has the period more frequently as normal, about two times a month. I get really worried when by mistake I checked in internet that could be caused by gonorrhea. She visited the gynecologist and, after a physical exploration by scan, he diagnosed an hormonal problem and he prescribed something in that direction.

By the time, I had no specific symptoms of gonorrhea, no urethral pain, no discharge from the penis. Well, to be honest, during this 2 1/2 years I have had somek ind of discomforts, even in prostate and kidney area, but nothing like a real pain, in special after thinking all this situation.

And now the questions.

If for so long my wife had gonorrhea, anything would be appreciated in the scan exploration?

When something like prostate, kidnap, urethra infection etc, is relatated, are we talking about a real pain, the one you think "I've to go to the hospital right now", or are we talking about a discomfort sensation?

We have very good information about when appears the first symptoms, but when use to appear the complications?

A doctor of this website says that gonorrhea goes away by it own, but, if that's true, the continue exposure between two infected people make impossible the cure, is out that right?, and, if two infected people have sexual relations, aren't they developing symptoms mostly time?

Thank you.

For all what you comment seems that I had to be calm about this. So better if I go to doctor, tell him the symptoms I've got and cross fingers for any result like the one that I'm worried about.

Very grateful.

Thank you for the answer.

When you say "to have it for so long...unheard of", what about the people with untreated gonorrhea, do they develope complications no long time after the exposure? I mean, prostatitis, epididymitis, pyelonephritis, and the rest of the -itis, PID, etc, when do they appear?no after years?

Thank you

It is still low risk and unlikely to happen. And to have it for this long...unheard of.

The exposure was unprotected deepthroat received from sex worker, is it maybe one of the most risky exposure if we talk about oral sex?

Now I'm really worried because from yesterday I have kidney and prostate pain, so I don't know if that could be caused by gonorrhea or by any other thing. Until I get tested for gonorrhea I prefer to try with anti-inflammatories. I hope to go tomorrow to the clinic. I think I won't get the results until Monday.

What was your exposure?

The questions you ask for the most part are more complicated then this needs to be.
