You could be reacting to the antibiotics.
I can tell you that you woudln't show std symptoms within a day, so you didn't have an std, plus your tests are negative.
An HIV test at 52 days is highly accurate.
You might post this in the urology forum, since this isn't related to an std.
And just a note - typing in all caps is considered yelling, and therefore rude, on the internet. It also makes it really hard to read.
Good luck,
AJ
thanks for the feed bac but is it possible for a 52 days hiv and syphilis negative test to come bak postive 38 days later, is it possible that i am still reacting to the antibiotics after stopping it 24 days ago.
Its possible for HIV, but highly doubtful. At 52 days, its accuracy probably 96% or higher. Syphilis would have already been positive at 52 days.
Why don't you go back to the doctor? At 24 days, you wouldn't be still reacting to the antibiotic. If you are still taking the herbal stuff, it might be a response to that. But in any case, you need to see your doc again since your symptoms are persisting.

Hi Teak; Auntiejessi. I have had 108 days after exposure Sexual health Screen (HIV, syhpilis, Hep B and C, Gono, Chalymdia), all negative. Am I home free? I am a bit worried about Hep C as they say it can take up to 6months (182 days) to show up in the blood. The reason I am worried is that I heard Hep C can affect the result of an HIv Test. So what are my chances. My exposure again was unprotected sex with female
Hep C might affect an HIV test, but if it did, it would give you a false positive, not a false negative.
And sex is very rarely a risk factor for hep c. Its only found in blood, so you aren't at risk for hep c.
You are negative for everything. You can relax now.
