Gonorrhea Treatment and Hypersexuality

I have four related questions, which I was too embarrassed to raise whilst in the sexual health clinic:

1) I recently visited a clinic complaining of a sore throat. This was subsequently diagnosed as pharyngeal gonorrhea and treated with oral and injected antibiotics. How long will it take for these antibiotics to cure the gonorrhea and when is it safe to have oral sex again?

2) If I performed oral sex on someone while the test was being processed, what is the probability I gave it to him?

3) I am trying to discern when I picked it up. If I experienced swollen glands and a sore throat, would it definitely be 5-7 days before the appearance of those symptoms? Or, given that gonorrhea can be asymptomatic, is it possible that I had it for much longer before these symptoms appeared?

4) I am sexually active far above the average MSM. If I were to do some rough math: I have performed oral sex on men ten times a week for the past two years, on average. So that would be roughly 1040 acts of oral sex in the past two years. Many of these are the same men, but my personal list has about 100-120 men on it, which I realize is unusually high. I am concerned that I may have passed gonorrhea on to these men while I might have been asymptomatic. Could you please provide some more information on this?

5) Regarding this hypersexuality: Several years ago, I was put on bupropion. This drug combined with psychotherapy saved me from suicidal depression. I remain on the drug for the long term, given the multiple episodes of depression in my medical history. While it is true that i have always had a relatively strong libido, I wonder if the drug is responsible for a radical increase in my sexual activity. Before the depressive episode, I averaged 2 sexual partners a week. During the depression, I had no sexual partners at all. However, gradually, as I recovered, I escalated to 10 partners a week and frequent masturbation. Does anyone have an explanation for this? And should I be concerned?

P. A.  I would like to add that I do get tested for HIV regularly aS nd remain negative. I have had no other STDs before this in my lifetime.

Thank you for your responses.   I have since realized that these posts are not read by MDs.  I will have to consult with a psychiatrist about  4 and 5.  That said, since you are not an MD, can I ask on  what you are basing your reply to the other three.

It is not that I have any reason to doubt you.   I just want to be sure I understand.  Obviously, the transmission of stds is a grave concern in masters such as this.

1) 1 week after medication, but use condoms

2) Low risk

3) Could be 1 week ago, coule be 6 weeks ago or maybe longer.

4) Not much to say other than to use condoms.

5) You will have to talk to Dr about that, I have no knowledge

I neglected to say that the reason I am asking question 5 is that I had read bupropion sometimes has he side effect of increasing libido.
