Gram (-) Diplococci?

hi there,
i have a wife and we are a year away from each other. i did have an affair with someone else abroad and we did had sex a lot of times and there's nothing wrong with us or feeling like we were sick of something..then i came home to my wife for vacation, we had sex twice in a week..after 2 weeks, she said that she needs to meet her gynecologist for a check up because she said it's been a year since she gave birth to our daughter. after the check up, she told me she has STD, so i freak out..

Here is what her Gram Stain test says:
Pus Cells - Many
Epethelial Cells - Moderate
Intra Cellular and Extra Cellular
Gram (-) Diploccoci - Moderate

I dont know what any of this means..

i did a Gram Stain test also, and this is what's stated in the result..
Predominant Organisms: Gram (-) Diploccoci
        Polymorphonuclears / Lpf -  >25
        Epithelial Cells / Lpf -    <25

Can you please enlighten me on this?
Is it possible to know who carried the STD or who got it first?
Is it possible that me and the other girl i had sex with has STD but there's no symptoms for a year?

I need some answers please..
Thank you so much!

Many time women are asymtematic, so yes, it's possible both of you didn't have symptoms.  Like I said, it's difficult to tell where it came from, but it's good you went to get it taken care of.

but how about the girl i had sex with for the last few months before i came home to my wife. she didn't have any symptoms of having that disease also. it's possible that both of us are asympematic?

by the way, we are cured, i just want to get things straight because i dont know what to think.

thanks for your reply.

Gram negative diploccoci typically means gonorrhea but should be confirmed with a urine test or culture.  There are other Gram neg diploccoci out there as well.

It's impossible to tell who carrried the STD first unless your wife can prove she did not have any sexual encounters.  However, how would you know 100% that's the truth?

It's unlikely that you would carry a gonorrhea infection for that long without knowing, but it's possible.  You could have been asymptematic. You both should get a urine test done to confirm if it's gono or not and you both should be treated.

I hope this helps.
