I have a bump on my penis shaft and have been hoping that it would go away however it’s been since the end of January and it hasn’t, im planning on going to a doctor to get it check out

It could be HPV. The only way to know for sure is to let a doctor check it out.
I'm not sure why you've waited for so long, but if it's a money thing, call your local health department and find your closest STI Clinic. Most are low cost or free, or will work with you on costs.
