HSV2 is very active

Hi.  I had my HSV2 primary otbk (genital) with Meningitis or Encephalitis (never confirmed by tests) '05.   high fever, sweats, light sensitive, confusion, stiff neck, flu like symptoms.  The stiff neck and fever were remarkable.  Initially, I had blisters on my forehead along with my genital otbks.  Yr later I wld rarely got g otbks.  Instead, I would get g neuralgia and a rash on my skin.  The rash looked like clusters of tiny blisters that trailed away.  Something like the number 9- anywhere from 2"-10" in length.  This has happened at least 30+ Xs. Doctor said it was a viral rash not shingles.  At 1st the skin rash appeared on both ankles & eyes (orbital) regularly.  Now with g neuralgia I have stabbing pain in my arms and a few hours later blisters appear at the location of the pain.  I had stabbing pain in my trigeminal nerve with a soar throat/neck ache/low grade fever followed by blisters on the side of my tongue.  Tested neg for HSV1. A week ago had sever pain in the nerve in my leg.  The next day i woke up with flu and a stiff neck, and a few hrs later had blisters on my neck, face, scalp & chest.  A few days on 1mg valtrex (acyclovir didn't seem to be working), lysine, and herbal immune system support and my entire face & scalp is covered in small blisters.  Also, my cognitive function has deteriorated, I've started stuttering from time to time and can't seem to form a sentence now an again.  I rember this confusion before my primary breakout.  I literally didn't know where I was the day before.  Plus I'm very irritable, and anxious....I'm a lot to love right now. I didn't really relate the two until now.  I really don't know what to do but I feel like I'm in trouble and no-one will take me seriously.

My questions are:
1) Does this sound like anything other than HSV2?
2) If I did get HSV2 in my brain during my primary outbreak is there any way to tell now, 2 yrs later.
3) With the virus on the move could I be reactivating or making matters in my brain worse?
4) What kind of doc to I need to see.  A infectious disease doc?
5) If I'm on a high dose of antivirals will the virus be detectable when blisters are tested.

Thanks

Its way beyond me to diagnose you, (no one can diagnose you on the internet) or even offer suggestions, but I can say that this isn't sounding like herpes, especially since your treatment methods aren't working.

I think you need to see an infectious disease doctor, a dermatologist or a neurologist.  You might consider posting this in the experts forum, but while they won't be able to diagnose you either, they might have better suggestions.

Good luck,
AJ
