Hey everyone. I'm a 30 something yr old male who recieved unprotected oral from a stranger who wasn't my normal partner 3 weeks ago.
After 5 ish days I started urinating more frequently feeling I've had to go a lot. Like every 45 min-1hr. I can usually hold it a while longer. Well a few days after that, so a week after the incident, I started messing with the tip of my penis and felt like there was a watery clear discharge which I feel is still present today every once in a while. Feels like after I owe there are more drips of urine as well. I know a few is normal. It just seems like it's random.
I went to my dr 13 days after said incident to test for a uti since i was peeing so much and the dipstic test and culture was completely clear. No end. No sign of anything. Which I thought great that should rule out ngu as well. I asked them to send my urine in for additional testing for chlam and gonorrhea. They were done by PCR testing which is a naat test. Tests came back negative for those. After getting the results my Dr thought to put me on 500mg of cipro 2/day for a week to hopefully get rid of anything there.
I'm now on my last day of meds and seems like symptoms have maybe gotten a tiny better but not really. I've also been referred to a urologist but can't see him for 3 more weeks. I called my doctor back after scheduling for the urologist and asked if testing Could be been wrong. They said no. The urologist said possible bit if I want retested go back and see my family doctor. I don't want to question them anymore about testing methods because they've never steered me wrong before. As I sit here I have a few questions.
1. Could my test results be inaccurate?
2.Could I have ngu or chlamydia even though my tests were all negative?
3. Does having no bacteria or any white blood cells in a uti test tell me anything about std testing except that I don't have a uti?
4. Could my brain just be playing games with me?
5. Can I go back to resuming my sex life and not worry about infecting a regular partner?
Thank you so much for any info.
