how to i ask one of the docs a question about this?
The risk IS very low but I'm just trying to show you the point that there is a risk and that it CAN happen as it did with my friend. It happened to her, low risk as it is, and the man did NOT have any lesions/sores and only until recently when she finally got medical insurance did she get the meds to keep her outbreaks (which were happening very frequently) under control. Go get tested to ease your mind and just to make sure.
now i am confused after reading many of the posts i thought that both doctors keep saying the std risk from oral sex is very low for syphilis, gonoreah, and chlamydia. and also if your partner had no visible signs of hepes the risk is still very low
My friend caught herpes from a guy giving her oral sex, it's probably the highest STD chance you can get through oral sex. She caught it while he was asymptomatically shedding, he had no sores. You can also catch the others, including HIV. Go get tested for all, and again till at least 8 weeks even though 12 weeks exposure is best to get tested for viral STD's. Antibiotics won't cure viral STD's.
please help i am a dds and thinking about Rx doxycycline 100mg bid for 14 days. will that cure any possible std?
i also wanted to know about getting treated right away . i do not want my wife to catch anything and i dont want to wait until symtoms show up.
