how about I explain this better to you :)
Is home std testing a good option? Yes it is IF you are just doing a general std screening. If you have symptoms, you should go and be seen by a provider but if this is just to cover your bases, choosing to skip the doctor's office and order it up on your own is a fine option. Why? Well as long as you are doing the testing at the right times, the home testing companies usually just contract out with the same lab your provider uses!! So let's say that you have a new partner and haven't had sex with anyone else in the last 3 months. You can go to an online testing site like tstd.org or healthcheckamerica and order up the full std testing. You pay for it online with your credit card. When you have time, you swing by the local lab they are affiliated with, pee in a cup and get your blood tested. After 48 hours you can log into the website and there are your test results. Now if any of them are positive, it will be up to you to take them to your regular doctor to get treated. Some online services do offer consultation with a doctor but they charge a fee. Keep in mind that you aren't getting tested for hpv with std testing and without seeing a provider, no one is examining you to look for signs of hpv. Also if you haven't had your 3 shot series of hpv shots and are under 30, well worth looking into getting those too! The best part about choosing an online testing site is that you get privacy and you have easily printed results to show to a partner.
The website you posted is not a clinic but an online testing center that works the way I described above.
keep asking questions!!
