How long for Gonorrhea symptoms 100% gone?

Hello. My wife and I both took suprax 400mg and azithromycin 2G orally 5 days ago for Gonorrhea infection. Her only symptoms were frequent urination and feeling the need to urinate more often even when she didn't really have to. My symptoms were very mild burning during urination and sporadic mild itching in the urethra.

About 75% of symptoms gone after 48 - 72 hours. It's now been 5 days and I would say we are at 90% no symptoms. The remaining 10 % ( for me incredibly mild very occasional urethral itching, for her very slight increase in urination frequency). I don't know if symptoms:

1) needs a bit more time for symptoms to TOTALLY disappear

2) needs more antibiotics because whatever was going to get better would have by now

3) it's just in my head from constantly stressing out about the STD and treatment?

What should I do now without having to wait for testing/results? Do I need to retest & when?

Thank you!

3-4 weeks after medication for retesting.

Nothing else you can do.

Thanks for your help. Dr. diagnosed gonorrhea based on receiving unprotected oral sex (only) from hooker. Symptoms began about week later. Thank you for any additional info you can share with me.

Also, how soon can I test for cure without getting false results from either antibiotics or initial infection?

And is there anything else I can take/do now to Pre emptively ensure cure?
