How long syphilis will treat?

How long will treat syphilis? My doctor gave me ceftriaxone 250mg (IM) one unit and doxycycline 14 pieces for 7 days 100g. She advice me to test my blood for the next one week after 7days of medication. Is there such away that I will sure that bacteria is out in my blood after 7 days of medication. Please advice. no you do not have to take medication over and over again.

when you get tested, let them know that you have had syphilis in the past. they should know which test to order for you.

If that so, do I need to take medicine over and over again and test my blood again and again? God, i really want to work in abroad for the next one month. do I need to expect that it will be reactive again for my next blood test? I'm freak now... what will I do? please help. I need to be clean after two weeks of medication as I indicated from my previous post. Thank you so much for the help....

Syphilis should be treated after the medication is finished but you will always test as reactive, just that the number associated with it will start to decrease.
