prodrome?

I've had a burning-like sensation in my pubic region with slight itching and sometimes sore testicles. I've haven't had unprotected sex for ten months and that was oral and I received. I've had That feeling for about a week now. Went to the doctors about 4 days ago and he put me on cipro but the discomfort hasn't stopped. What do you guys think it could be? Thanks.

Yeah that's What I'm starting think it could be. I haven't shown any signs of lesions, sores, or blisters. I don't even have a rash so this is making things very confusing. I suffer from extreme anxiety so this is definitely not helping the cause. I'm going to the doctors tomorrow. One thing I have noticed is that when I tend to not think about it as much the burning sensation isn't there or not as strongly felt.

It is not likely to be std related.  The chance of you getting stds from oral sex are very very slim.  The possible low risk stds from oral sex are NGU, gonorrhea, herpes, and syphilis.  I'm thinking it may be more of a fungal issue. The best thing to do is see a doctor.
