Folliculitis or the herpes?

i have about 16-26 bumps on and around my penis, some of these bumps have hair coming out of them others do not. some have little white raised points in the center of them and one of them white spots popped the other day due to me picking at it a little bit, not so much puss or blood, but like what a zit or pimple would be... what could this be? thanks

Ok then you should be good as long as you don't stratch them because they can spread... Good luck in a couple weeks to couple moths they should all be gone with scar or anything and you will be as good as new... Remember to always protect yourself ok...

o alright thanks... but youre saying that its definately possible that this could be the case and its not that unheard of? o ive also read online that making a heat compress would help lower infection time or symptoms... ive been using a washcloth that i run under hot tap water and place it on the infected area.. is this the right type of heat compress or is there a better way to make one and/or buy one?

AHHHHHHH... That could be what's causing these bumps, you might have transfer the fungi from ur feet to ur gentials... Stop doing that! Bring this up with ur doctor..

true i will add that to the list.... i kinda got one more question too... its kind of embarassing but it is what it is... before the bumps appeared, there has been occassions where i masturbate and the only thing that was availible to clean up with was a dirty sock out of the laundry basket...the thing about this is that i had a fungal/athletes foot infection at the time... and since i used the sock that had been on my foot to clean up... could the fungus/athletes foot infect my genitals?

No i don't know what would be causing these pimples for six months straight... It's good that you have an appointment, no need to be sitting here assuming and driving urself crazy.  questions would be what's causing it, what are the treatment, will they come back, whatever it is can it spread?

If it's indeed folliculitis she needs to do a culture on it to see what excatly is causing the bacteria or infection so she can give you the proper treatment...See a doctor because they shouldn't be lasting more than a couple days.. Also do a herpes culture just to be on the safe side..

i went to my college nurse on the 9th of may, she said it was most likely folliculitis... gave me some topical antibiotics, but it didnt work, reduced them a little bit but not by much... i also got tested for gonareah and syphilis.. i had to urinate in a cup and give it to her but those results came back negative

they are not itchy and the one that popped just popped a day or two ago so no scabbing, just looks like what a popped zit would like on your face... no discharge and no pain is felt.... i have also had these bumps for about 2 months and this was the first one to "pop" when i messed with it
