My wife and I share a condition, I believe is STD candida. How to confirm and cure?

I went through a stressful divorce about 15 years ago. My ex was seeing several sex partners. She mentioned she had been checked for STDs and only possibly candida, so I assume that is it.
I didn't have any recognizable symptoms at the time.  However after meeting, dating and marrying my 2nd wife: We both developed a skin condition. I had splotches of scaly skin develop on my lower legs which spread quickly up the legs and then the entire penis developed a scaly outer layer of skin that peeled off. I still have small spot of skin on the penis that is extra sensitive as though it was thin.
Next, I had an eyelid that started peeling. That went away.
My wife developed a patch of skin about 6 cm. diameter next to the pubic area on her thigh. She still has problems occasionally with an eyelid the sheds a layer of skin. It can itch and if you mess with it too much it gets sore.
She also has a yellowish vaginal discharge. Not a foul odor, but def a musty type odor.
Now I have a couple less that 1 cm spots on each side of my chin that don't heal, but have a thin layer of dry skin that can be peeled away with a fingernail. Also in the fold behind one of my ears, there is scaly skin that sometimes peels away.

You've just been having these things and calmly watching them go by, or you have checked with a doctor and gotten diagnosed?  Has lichen sclerosis been ruled out?
