Mycoplasma genitalium and now prostatitis

Hey! I've posted before but it has been a while...Just wanted to share my story and see if someone else goes through the same mystery.
It started off with mycoplasma genitalium acquired through oral sex. Was dignosed (swab) with Mycoplasma Genitalium, other tests were clean (Chlamydia, Gonnorhea, Trich, Ureoplasma). Tests were done 6 test post possible infection.
Had a course of Ofloxin 200g twice a day for 10 days. On day 6 or 8 I started to have clear morning discharge. After medications were over, the discharge continued and I pretty soon discovered something like lymph node in groin bit swollen. First on one side, then another side as well. It made my quite nervous so I had another STD panel done 25 days after taking last pill. I had to pee in a cup, they are using PCR method. All came back negative for previously tested STD's including MG. Discharge did not go away, the same with nodes in groin, the remained swollen. I then visited different dr's to check my lymph nodes. Some said those are indeed lymph nodes, some said those are veins running to testicles, some said those are ligaments. As I still was not satisifed, I saw another Dr. Without testing he prescribed Zhitro, I took 1G instantly. For a moment, it seemed that there was less discharge but it was only for 2-3 days. After another 20 days went back to have another MG test. This time it was swab test and Dr. pushed it all the way in to get max. out of it. Again, it came back Neg. for MG. Then Dr. suggested that it may be prostatitis. Week later I had prostate secretion analysis. At the same time MG was tested again. It was tested from second urine to be sure it is not in my prostate. MG was again negative, but I was diagnosed with prostatitis. Even though it was bad news, I was glad that eventually the cause of my problems was found. I got antibiotic treatment (12 days Unasyn, 15 days Nolicin). My symptoms did not dissapear. After that they scanned my prostate - it did not show any active infection any more but it was bit boggy. Now I am off the meds for 2nd week, I will have next set of tests in 5 days.
Now about the discharge. It is totally clear and it appears in most of the mornings. On some mornings I think I am totally clear but then sometimes discharge would appear after urinating. In addition if I ejaculate, there is clear discharge lets say 30 to 60 mins later. The discharge happens as well when I have erection, just after half an hour I can see small clear discharge. I don't know if that is caused by prostatitis, MG or it is something normal as my sexual life has been really disturbed. I have not had sex with my girlfriend now for more than 3 months.
I've sent my girlfriend to test for STD's as well, results are not back yet. It seems though she has a fungus or something. I am still afraid I have MG as I've read that Ofloxin is not the best cure for that. But at the same time I've had 3 negative tests.
Would be nice to get an input from people who have experienced the same or who would have some good ideas. thanks in advance!

Oh and another thing that I have read is that you treat MG with Azithromycin after becoming initially infected with it and not finishing the antibiotics or fully curing it for whatever reason it will no longer show positive on a NAAT test. This is due to the location of the gene where the change occurs for antibiotic resistance is also one of the markers that are used in sequencing the DNA to test for MG.

How long was it before you were diagnosed with MG. If it persists long enough to the point it becomes prostatitis it can take 6 weeks to 9 weeks on a fluoroquinolone such as Moxifloxacin. I had bacterial prostatitis for 16 years following oral sex with a female. I was told by numerous doctors after 6 years I gave up. I saw an article a few months ago about MG and how  Moxifloxacin, in combination with rifampicin would cure it. I told my doctor who had not known I had this previous problem years ago and I explained the whole story and how I went to see many doctors over many years, Im, not even gonna stress it. I told this doctor because I build a relationship with him over the past couple of years and I saw the article and shared the rest with him. Anyway after 2 weeks on  Moxifloxacin and I found how I felt when I ejaculated as I did prior to ever contracting MG. Also, I tested negative for MG but here's the punch, my girlfriend tested positive after specifically asking for it. Yet me positive. Anyway, long story short everything is fine now. Good as new. I am still on antibiotics but I can pee normally again no split streams yet I had not had the clear liquid symptom in many many years that was the very first symptom I had after receiving oral sex and went to get tested for chlamydia, gonnorhea, trich, negative negative negative strictures, scopes, yadda yadda I'm sure you all know. Anyway I had it 16 years I got it at the age of 19 in 2002. I probably gave it to so many people over the years who in turn gave it to so many people who in turn gave it to so many people and I, in fact, told a friend of mine about it and he said he was diagnosed with prostatitis also years ago after sleeping with a mutual of a mutual partner. Small ******* world anyway. This is a silent and superbug of an STD going around and they are just starting to report on it. There is a cure but it is not caught immediately and it becomes prostatitis it is VERY difficult to treat where as currently Avelox is the only fluoroquinolone mine was weak too. I had previously years ago been on Bactrim d/s for 6 months and it didn't phase it. I also got IV Vancamycin along with something else that I can't remember its name... The doxycycline everything and mind you over 16 years all the other random antibiotics I might have taken for one thing or another. Any questions feel free to post. I also had volunteered for a study as The Bedford Research Foundation that was doing a study on prostatitis but I became a heroin addict for several years while in the study and I never got the results of my NAAT test. I imagine I could have had this solved 9 or 10 years ago because it would have been detected infact it was one of the possible culprits at the time but all the stuff online at the time and the way I was treated otherwise made me feel pretty hopeless. Anyway. Everything is good now. I cum like im 17 again shoot it across the room and when I pee I don't feel any pressure at all whatsoever and I have this general feeling of well being. Anyway please share this on any message boards you frequent and if any medical doctors would like to speak with my dr or get any of my records for future help in helping others let me know. I hope this news is of gospel to some dealing with this but there is a cure and it isn't in your head regardless of what pompous *** doctor who won't take the time to try out new things or empirically diagnose a sensitive issue it is in the first place talking to them about says.

MG is treated by a different set of drugs than the ones u used, its been pointed out above, azithromycin and avelox are 1st line drugs, youve been tested time and again for MG and neg,how long was it from initial infection to treatment using a drug that works?it takes time for an infection to enter the prostate.several months usually.oral meds are difficult to pierce the sheath that surrounds the prostate but there r ones that work.levofloxacine is one.the pathogen in your prostate needs to be isoltaed so u know exactly what u r dealing with.that can be done using a culture from  a prostatic smear usually obtained by rectal massage .then a sensitivity test followed by treatment, get a good urologist.i suggest that once the pathogen is isolated you take IM injection instead of oral meds to deal with it.if the pathogen responds 5 -7 days of IM infections using ganamycin could be the answer.or a similar drug thats not resistant

My Dr. now examined the discharge under microscope and all he found was Gardeneralla. I know this is rather other side issue but as due to prostatitis my immune system is weaker, he decided to treat it. 6 days on Sumamed did not cure it, I still have it. Now he prescribed 10 days of Doxy. Haven't started the course yet. Now my quesiton is whether my symptoms can be caused by Gardeneralla? I mean clear discharge especially? I do not have fishy smell. In addition I feel some itching, burning after ejaculation within 1-2 hours after and there is always a small disharge after this act.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I had another swab test done. They are using PCR method, which is actually DNA test. That was again negative for MG. Dr. studied discharge under microscope and discovered Gardenarella though. I was prescribed 2 different antibiotics for 6 days (one of them was Sumamed). Now I am waiting 3 weeks mark to repeat the test. Nevertheless I do not see any improvement so far. Morning clear discharge is still there :(

MG is only treatable (with eradication results)  by Avelox (Moxifloxacin) or Arthiromyacin. It's a "no cell wall" bacterial infection and VERY difficult to catch without a DNA test with it. Most other antibiotics work by attacking the cell walls which is worse than useless against MG. FYI

Thanks a lot Grace! I am just bit afraid that I've had those MG tests always too early after antibiotic treatment. Some sources say that you shoud have follow up test 4-5 weeks later. In addition as MG got to my prostate, wouldn't it be hiding there and would the culture from urathea even catch it.

you've had multiple negative tests now. no reason to continue thinking you have mycoplasma.

Your discharge at this point doesn't sound too bothersome. should you get pain with urination, be seen for proper urine testing again.  no reason not to have protected sex with your gf while waiting for her test results to come back.
