NGU left untreated (trichomas or other)

Thank you in advance for answering my questions.

A long time ago I may have had some symptoms resulting from receiving unprotected fellatio.  The symptoms were frequent urination, maybe slight burning sensation when urinating, and maybe some clear discharge.  I say maybe because at the time I wasn't quite sure if these were real symptoms or I was just overly anxious.  The symptoms went away and I did get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea less than 3 months following the incident and the results came out negative.

My questions:
1. Is it possible to have had a non-chlamydial, non-gonnorhea NGU and not have symptoms severe enough to really know for sure?

2. If a non-chlamydial, non-gonnorhea NGU is left untreated, would it eventually get bad enough that you would realize you had it or would the NGU resolve itself?

3. If a non-chlamydial, non-gonnorhea NGU is left untreated but resolves itself, what are the consequences? sterility, etc.?

4. If you have asymptomatic chlamydia and it was left untreated, would a test >1 year later detect it and, if not, has the damage already been done?

5. Urethral gonorrhea in men is >90% symptomatic, correct?

Thanks so much!

Hi

1.  No.  there's not such thing as partial NGU.  Either you have an infection or  you don't.
2.  Grace answered this: so it depends on the person it will either resolve or become something
     else, -- noticable like NGU.
3.  If left untreated and RESOLVES ITSELF ---well that means it went away so nothing would
     happen to you.
4.  Yes.    There is no timeline for the magnitude of damage such an infection could create.   In some people its months that leads to things like (PID in women, prostate infection in men or testicual infection).
5.  I don't feel like looking up the numbers right now, you can googles this or search through the expert STD forums; I will say,  if you are infected with gonorrhea, chances you are going to show symptoms.   Greater than 90% sounds right to me, but don't quote me on that.

many times these things will clear up on their own. you covered with testing for the 2 most common std's that cause these symptoms and things were negative.

unless your symptoms return, really no reason to worry at this point.
