testing question

I recently had a situation that could put me at risk for a std   recieved unprotected oral.  Having a little penile burning a few days later. burns all the time  not just when urinating.  I want to go have some testing done, but just finished a course of antibiotics for something else yesterday. It was cipro.  According to information I've read the body removes it within 24 hours.  I was wondering if I could go and have a reliable test done in a couple more days.  Don't want to wait too long.

thanks for the response.  Using the naat test I would assume the chance would be small.  I read on the cdc site these tests are so accurate they can detect the dna of one organism in a test sample.  I will give it a shot monday  will be going and having it done at labcorp.

there is a chance for false results but you could consider testing in a few days and if everything is neg. you can follow up in a couple weeks
