Why is it rare? Because most of the people who have syphilis are in the men who have sex with men community. Syphilis was almost eradicated several years ago.
Yes move on
Why is it very rare in a woman? So your telling me to not worry about getting syphillis from receiving oral sex? To just move on?
Syphilis in women is very rare. It really is not a concern.
One more question. Have you ever heard or saw a case of someone getting syphillis from receiving oral sex? Should I worry about contracting syphillis from this exposure and for syphillis do symptoms occur if you come across with some that has syphillis. If yes usually how long after the exposure to see symptoms?
you'd have to ask your insurance company to see if it's covered - it should be if you are in the age bracket.
I will but if I get it done would it cause any side effects or cause a hpv breakout and does insurance companies cover it. Thanks.
herpes was not a risk from this as we already discussed on the herpes forum.
if you are under 26 and haven't had your gardasil shots yet, ask your provider about them to protect you from 4 of the most common types of hpv!
Lol. Thanks grace and no I haven't gotten the gardasil shots. So just move on about not contracting hsv2 from this exposure?
we don't recommend any testing from oral sex unless you develop obvious symptoms.
to best protect yourself, save yourself worry and save yourself testing frequently, always only give and receive protected oral sex. not worth this much stress for 7 minutes of fun is it?
( told ya I"d lecture ya over here ! )
have you had your gardasil shots?
grace
Thanks for the response but my last question would be if I should worry and get tested for syphilis, herpes, gonorrhea and ngu. And if yes, how long should I wait for a accurate test result. Thanks again.
I said all but HPV and Herpes are curable, which means syphilis is curable.
HPV most of the time will leave the body, but there is no real cure for it.
All but hpv and herpes are not curable? I know herpes is not curable. It could just be treated to controll breakouts. But I read that the body fights off hpv within 2 years after acquiring it. So syphilis is not curable? I thought it goes away from your system after treatment.
Low risk for gonorrhea and NGU, lower risk for syphilis, herpes and HPV.
Symptoms for gonorrhea and NGU in about 5-7 days. Syphilis on average 21 days, herpes 3 weeks or so and not sure on HPV.
All but HPV and herpes are curable.
