Pain in Forearms and Calves/ reddish bumps

my exposure was protected vaginal sex and handjob last october 14, 2012.
I was told in the HIV forum that it is a no risk exposure for HIV.
But is there any chance that i caught any other STD? or even HIV?(im just really worried)
These past 2 weeks i have been having reddish bumps in my forearms and calves, some in my left thigh. They kinda resemble bed bug bites, but they did not disappear, it has been almost 2 weeks now.
It is accompanied by pain in the calves and forearms, when i press the bumps they hurt.
1) Is this a symptom of any STD?
2) Can HIV cause this?
3) Is this just anxiety?

I mean anything that is lasting 2 weeks should be followed up on with your doctor.

your muscle pains are not std related. since they have been going on for 2 weeks, time to be seen by your doctor for a full work up.

GracefromHHP, thanks grace for your reply.. So based on my encounter (protected vaginal penetration/ handjob) i was never at risk for HIV, but is a possible risk for HPV, syphilis and herpes?
I never had the symptoms of syphilis and herpes and its close to 4 months now after the encounter. is it safe to say that i never caught any STD or even HIV?
Can anxiety cause the muscle pains i described?
Thank you grace.

Thanks for the reply Life360, the pain in my calves is like the one you feel after jogging/working out a lot and the pain in my forearms are like throbbing pain.. i take mefenamic acid to relieve the pain but after i wake up the next day its still there. its been going on for two weeks now.. i've been very anxious lately because of my possible exposure last oct 14, 2012 and also because of other things in my life.. can anxiety cause muscle pains like the ones i described?

a hand job isn't a risk for any std.

protected genital sex is a risk for hpv, syphilis and herpes.  if you need peace of mind, get tested for syphilis and herpes if you haven't been already.

none of the symptoms you are concerned about at this point are std related. see your doctor or a dermatologist for a proper exam.

I have the exact same symptoms, particularly the pain in the calves and forearms and the red bumps.  If you live in a developed country, count yourself lucky because you can just go and get tested for everything tomorrow and save yourself a lot of grief.  I didn't have access to gonorrhea/chlamydia testing and my life has basically unraveled over the past few months with the symptoms and uncertainty.

Hi, i would say that yes anxiety can cause this as your body tenses up with anxiety and you could have cramped a muscle which take time to heal. The rash would be best to have a dermatoligist take a look at. When i get these rashes esp on the thigh, i pat on some 1% over the counter corizone cream with aloe and goes away in a couple of days. It an anti inflamatory cream and works really great.

You were never at risk from either an STD or HIV from your exposure. The red bumps could be an allergic reaction to the washing powder you're using or any number of things. I'd see a doctor but nothing you've said it related to the sexual encounter you had.
