Honest Truth about chances of aquiring STD
Early this month I made the unfortunate decision to sleep with an escort. I say unfortunate because I never wanted or thought I would get involved in this scene, but it happened and I am trying to move forward. I realized this was stupid and I tried to wash my hands with some shampoo. Then I continued washing my penis with the shampoo.
Once I got home (20 drive with possible infection) I took another shower and scrubbed away down there to help calm my anxiety about the situation. I then went to bed with the same underwear I took to the encounter.
I am aware that microbes and viruses do not live long outside of desirable environments, and I am also aware that taking a shower after an encounter does not minimize the chances of contracting an STD by a considerable portion. However, my question is what are the chances I contracted and STD, especially herpes from this encounter, assuming the escort HAS herpes and may or may not have had an outbreak while we met.
I am relatively calm about the situation, but I was hopping to find a second opinion about this.
