Possible STD? or Allergies?

I'm a college student, and exactly one week ago I had unprotected sex with a girl my age. I do not believe she is high risk for STD's, and also she seems very clean. Anyhow, a whole day after the sex, I woke up with extreme congestion in my head, a very stuffy nose, and a sore throat. This freaked me out as I had given her oral and thought she might of given me some infection in my throat. A week has gone on now since and the congestion may have gotten even worse, I have swollen lymph nodes and slight chest pain/tightness. However, the sore throat is gone now. Could this be a STD? Or is it just a sinus infection which I tend to get pretty often. I also have bad allergies and my roommate has complained about them this week as well, but he is no where as sick or congested as me, and I haven't had bad allergies yet this spring. So would you say allergies caused this? STD? Or did I possibly catch a sinus infection from her? Its just too much of a coincidence I got all this a day after the sex, even though it seems like just a sinus infection.

You had unprotected oral and vaginal sex and therefore are at risk for both HIV and STD's.

You would not have any HIV or STD symptoms in a week, so your physical issues are either your sinuses, a cold, the flu or allergies.

They could also be anxiety.

Have a 4th generation DUO test done for HIV at 28 days post exposure. This test will be conclusive.

Post to our STD Forum for window periods of when to test for all the various STD's.

Don't have sex with anyone else until ALL your tests come back negative. Should any test show a positive result, you must let the woman you slept with know immediately.

Good luck
