Hello Doctors
I recently had an episode of mutual masturbation, rubbing of clitoris and then masturbating myself (no anal, vaginal, oral or kissing) she rubbed herself then touched my penis for a minute or so. There was a high possibility that vaginal fluid came into contact with my penis and possibly urethra. I had a blood test 10 -12 days after which was for antibodies Chlamydia, Gonn,VDRL etc but chlamydia came back positive (1.28 something IgG i think), one day later i had a pcr swab for everything mycoplasma,, chlamydia..... I had this test and a full std panel as i started to have little sharp pains in my urethra and left testicle. In a state of panic i decided to do an internet search and gave myself 1 gram of Azithromycin plus i took 500 mg per day for two more days. I did not have any discharge of discoloration of the urethra at this time the entire time.
The second day after i had the the first 1gram (after the antibody test) i had a pcr swab done, everything came back negative. Would a pcr test be effected that much by the 1 gram one day after taking it? I am not sure what is going on, i keep getting this little inflammed or irritated area just outside my urethra that gets little sharp pains (not when i urinate or after)
One week after recieving the results my wife and I (who i was completely honest about everything with) had 1 gram of Azithromycin then 500 mg each day for two days after. We did not have sex for 10 days, but now it feels like it is coming back.
I have had urine cultures, swab cultures and everything has come back negative. Could this be urethritis after the chlamydia? about 1 week after the medication (both of them) it seems to come back, not bad but it is there. The second test i had was 28 days after the incident and it all came back negative Hep A B C, VDRL, Herpes 2, HIV etc... then I had another ora quick (blood) HIV test at 4.5 weeks which was negative.
Should i wait 2 weeks after my last treatment and then get another pcr swab? just to be sure.....
Appreciate any forsight into this matter.
My wife thinks its all in my head (pardon the pun) but you can see the irritation.
