PLEASE HELP!!!! I'm concerned!!!

My boyfriend has a big hanging scab on his penis, it's been there for a LONG time and I'm concerned. I asked him about it, and he says he had a bad bike accident and the scabs need to be removed with surgery. Is there a such thing as big hanging scabs that can only be removed with surgery? I won't have sex with him until I find out what's going on. I need some help, please.

The best move you made was telling him to get tested. No mattter what the outcome is,  its better to be sure than be disapointed.

I asked him last night to go with me to the doctor nest week, he agreed so I will definitely let you know what happens. I'm praying he's telling the truth cause if he isnt....there is going to be a problem.

Oh and condoms offer great protection if it can cover the area you are talking about.

I don't know if you are looking for a confirmation or not that it is possibly an std.  Truth be told is the only way you will find out is for him to go to a doctor about getting it removed.  The only thing that this could be since it is there everyday is a genital wart IF it were an std.  Just got to the doc and be sure to come back and let us know how it goes.  I'd like to think he didn't make up a story about a motorcycle accident.

Thank you guys SO MUCH, I was so conflicted, but now I can ask him without feeling like I'm crossing boundaries. I've been with him for a while but his situation down there is so scary, I like him and all but I DONT want a STD....any more comments???

If you care about each other and you are attracted to him otherwise, then just be honest with him about it. Tell him you would feel better if you BOTH get tested for std's before being intimate.

Best bet is to go together to one of the free anonymous STD clinics, where they could see the scab, and either confirm that it is an STD, or reassure you that it is not.
