Used a condom, IS THIS ALL IN MY HEAD? HELP

Hey guys. Hope all is well with everyone! I’m just going through it. I made a mistake and cheated on my long term girlfriend a couple weeks ago. I used protection while having sex. While we was doing it I had to pee real bad . I went to bathroom and notice a lil bit of blood on condom. So I freaked and I stopped I told her and she said she guess her period is coming. I asked her if she was clean and she said she had got checked a few weeks before that and everything was fine. I haven’t had any discharge yet. But lately I been feeling funny down there like I might have to pee more. Could this be a std coming ? Also my girlfriend is pregnant I’m freaking out.. PLEASE HELP!

Since you used a condom, you don't really have much to worry about here. The blood was on the outside of the condom, which acted as the barrier it should.

Do you have to pee more, or are you feeling like you do, but aren't? Is this just a hyper-awareness of the area?

Listen, no judgement, but your girlfriend is pregnant. If your condom breaks with another partner, and you get infected with something, and infect your girlfriend, it could be really dangerous for the baby. Just something to consider.

I know I know I feel so stupid and selfish ! :( I messed up big time. It won’t happen ever again . This incident happened 2 weeks ago. I’m going to get HIV test and std test today. Is that enough time for everything ?
And one more thing will NGU be a risk ?
No, you used a condom, so NGU isn't a risk.

You don't need an HIV test - you had a condom on. And you can't test for that until 28 days with a 4th Gen DUO test.

The ONLY infections you were at risk for are maybe herpes type 2, syphilis and HPV. The others you were protected from because you wore a condom, and they need access to your urethra.

Herpes, syphilis and HPV are direct skin to skin genital contact transmission, and you had that. It usually takes some heavy friction to transmit - think the kind associated with sex, and I don't know if you had that.

You can test for herpes type 2 - hsv2 - at 6 weeks and then again at 12 weeks, but please note that there are false positives associated with the type specific IgG blood test, so don't test too often. I mean that. It takes several weeks and several hundred dollars to unravel a false positive.

You can test for syphilis at 6 weeks. This is uncommon in most developed countries, like the US, UK, European countries, etc.

There is no test for HPV for men, unfortunately.

Just breathe.
Thank you so much!

It sounds like her period was coming, not that she gave you anything through a condom. (And that if you really have to pee more than usual now, it is from something else.)

So no concerns of std or hiv? Just worried the small amount of blood might have caused extra on condom and when I took it off something got in my hole
Blood doesn't put extra strain on a condom. And, the whole idea of a condom is that when you wear it, nothing gets in your hole. And even when you take it off, all that is on you is liquid from yourself. Even if the blood wasn't from her period, it doesn't mean it's from an STD. The condom should provide the protection that condoms were invented to provide.

Did you ask her in the next few days if her period had come? (Or was she already insulted enough at you for asking if she was "clean" that you didn't dare bring up the subject again?)

I gotta suggest, whether you have a physical issue or this is all just a guilty conscience in action, the sentence "I cheated on my pregnant girlfriend" says that you need to put a higher priority on behaving with integrity.  By this I mean:
- Figure out what prompted you to cheat on a long-term girlfriend who is currently pregnant with your child.
- If you don't want to be exclusive with your girlfriend, tell her. Being in a relationship with a guy who's got an eye out for other women is only going to hurt her over and over. Put together a child-support agreement and follow through and be a good dad. But if exclusivity is part of her expectation of you, let her out of a relationship that is only going to cause her pain.
- Apologize to the woman you cheated with for making her a party to a cheat. Also, if you used the terminology with her that you used here when asking about the blood (i.e., about her being "clean,") apologize for that language. It makes it sound like you think she's a *****.
- Act honestly with all future women.
All of these things will help you feel like an honest man.
